Revisiting some old images...

*Its too wintery here
*it's too cold these days
*just too cold to have done some thing today
*getting out of the blanket seemed too impossible
*I am sitting in the bedroom, sipping my tea, watching the streets through the window
*parks remain rather empty these days
*see one old couple taking their evening walks
*mighty wind is having his moment...
*Going through some images, which have never been uploaded
*all of them taken during the last summer vacations at my parents home
*All images are  celebrations of life in a way, celebrations at home, the togetherness times....
*all these images and a lot more take me into a world of nostalgic moments and memories, down south...
*who doesnt love colors?
*who doesnt love flowers?

An evening in Veli Tourist Village,Thiruvananathapuram

*Summer Vacations are always celebrated in its own pomp and splendour right from childhood.
*It never used to be to far off places ,but places in and around our home towns.
*Our summers last year also had been really busy travelling.
*In away educating and exposing the little one to the land where she belongs, isnt that wonderful?
*My little one was pleasantly surprised by her summer vacation experience..
*Most of the last summers were spend along the backwaters, lagoons and beaches .
*Backwaters, lagoons ,lakes, canals ,estuares and rivers doesnt need a special mention.
*The basis of a distinct lifestyle and a fascinating thoroughfare.
*All forms a prominent part of the panoramic landscape of Kerala.
*A Veli Tourist Village evening...
*It was monsoons ,so it was raining continuously, some parts were full of water..

The Veli Tourist Village is sandwiched between the Veli Lagoon and the Arabian Sea. The lagoon here is separated from the sea by a narrow sand bar.

Famous sculpture by the famous artist Kanayi Kunhiraman

A floating bridge that connects the village to the beach.Waterfront park, lagoon where the boating is done.During monsoons, waterlevel raises and boating is closed

*trip to a place to celebrate our anniversary
*my favourite  chrysanthemums in bloom

Tea Pot Cafe

A Visit to the Tea pot cafe and having endless cups of tea and pastries happened during the last summer vacations. But the post comes a bit late.

Tea Pot cafe is a delightful cafe on the main streets of Fort Kochi for tea lovers,a perfect and cosy nice little place for your afternoon tea: 15 different brands of Indian teas (they serve coffee as well), pastries and countless teapots as a design element.

Actually our search for an afternoon tea after walking through the streets of FortKochi led us to Tea pot cafe.We were led us to the mezzanine floor where we could actually see the beauty of the kettles hanging from the roof.

We had a really nice time at the Tea Pot Cafe.Just can't number the things we ate ,(because we ate too many things) but the tingling taste of the tea, still lingers on the tip of my tongue...eagerly looking forward for our next visit.

Nowadays....

A cold misty morning in Delhi, todayLoving the wintersunshine as it makes its way through the windows
Having tea with sunshine
Noticing the patterns that light makes
Loving light ,as I have not loved it before..interesting

Reading quotes about light
Quotes make us think...
Do not anticpate trouble or worry about what may never happen.
Keep in the sunlight"Benjamin Franklin"

Winter annuals get planted in pots in the terrace
Lettuce and Dhaniya seeds waiting to be sown
Hot soups get ready by 7 o clock in the evening
Watching loads of images on flickr and getting inspired
